Custom Painted Furniture and Other Things

My mother's friend asked me to paint an old chair she'd had forever, and this is the result.

After years of denying I was an artist, I just gave up one day and said, ok, I am. Art is expressed in many forms, and at all levels. It only takes the desire to create something and the tenacity to figure out how to do it.

I paint for the sheer enjoyment of creating beautiful things that I usually give away to friends and family.

One day, I'm going to find more time to paint because I see possible things to transform everywhere, if only I had the time to do it!

Maybe art is like exercise, you have to make time, you can't just do it when you have a free moment and nothing else better to do.

Below is a small sample of my work, all done years ago before I started Purple Dragonfly Designs, when there was time for doing something else I love.
